YHS Regional Champs!

Congratulations to the Yorkville High School cross country team for their great performance at Regionals on Saturday. The top 5 teams from each Regional advance to Sectionals and the Yorkville teams both turned in dominating performances to move on.
The boy's team won the race with a score of 34 to Oswego's 64. Scott King finished 3rd with a time of 16:51, Eric Baker 5th at 17:01, YMS XC alum Zak Arcara 6th at 17:05, Jake Callahan 9th at 17:11, and Carl Bomba rounded out the top 5 with an 11th place finish at 17:13. Danny Fish and Brandon Beerup finished 16th and 18th with times of 17:38 and 17:47 to round out the boy's team. This was the boy's 3rd Regional title in a row.
The girl's earned their second Regional title in a row with a score of 42 to Lincoln Way West's 56. Ali Hester finished 2nd with a time of 19:25, Esther Bell finished 3rd at 19:32, Casey Kramer 9th at 20:44, Breezy Stuepfert 12th at 21:00, and Karen Greyer 16th at 21:23. Becca Siebens also finished the race for the Foxes in 26th with a time of 22:07.
