Parkside Invite Roster

This week we will have our first invitational on Saturday, September 10 at Maxwell Park in Normal. Fans can park at Normal West High School, Maxwell Park, or Champion Fields. The bus for the Parkside Invite will leave at 6:30am from Yorkville Middle School. Only 7 runners can run in the varsity races at the Parkside Invite, but everyone else will run in the open races. Here is the schedule and roster for Saturday's Parkside Invite:
6:30am - Bus leaves YMS
9:30am - Girls Varsity Race

Tuesday's Meet at Lyon Farm
Tuesday will be our second meet at Lyon Farm against St. Charles Wredling. It is scheduled to start at 4:30 with the girls race, but given that St. Charles has a long drive and they get out of school later than Yorkville we will probably start closer to 5pm. Coach Miller's group will not be running in this meet, but will instead be participating in a workout at Lyon Farm. Bus transportation will be provided from YMS, but all runners will need to be picked up from Lyon Farm.
No Practice Monday, Thursday Practice at Hoover
We do not have practice on Monday due to Labor Day. Coach Miller's group should get in a 45-minute recovery run on Sunday or Monday. On Thursday we will have practice at the Hoover Center. Transportation will be provided to Hoover, but runners will need to be picked up at Hoover at 4:15pm.
Picture Day on Friday
Picture Day will be on Friday during practice. Runners should bring their uniforms to school and picture forms if they would like to purchase pictures. We will hand out picture forms on Tuesday or Wednesday.
Weekly P.R.'s
With wet conditions at Kaneland we didn't have as many personal records as we did in the first week, but we still had some runners who should be recognized. You can go to our Schedule page to see the full results or our Results page to just see Yorkville's results from the Kaneland meet. We don't have any pictures from the Kaneland meet on our Flickr page so if anyone wants to upload some contact Coach Miller for access to the page.
