Week 1 Results

This is probably the best start to the season our middle school team has ever had. We had 50 P.R.'s at the Batavia meet and 76 at Thursday's Lyon Farm meet. On the team level we beat last year's state champs Batavia in the boys and girls races. It's too early to get super excited about team results, but it's not a bad way to start things out. Tuesday at Kaneland
Tuesday's meet on August 30 will be at Kaneland Harter Middle School and should start around 4:30pm. There will be a one mile open race that some of our runners will choose to participate in followed by the girls two-mile race and boys two-mile race.
8th graders in Coach Miller's group will not be running in the meet. They will still travel with the team, but they will participate in a workout at Kaneland and then cheer on their teammates.
Thursday's Practice at the Park
With the start of fall comes the start of Thursday practices at area forest preserves. Transportation will be provided for runners to the forest preserve, but they will have to be picked up every Thursday from the forest preserve. This Thursday we are at Harris Forest Preserve on Route 71 near the fairgrounds. Practice will end at the normal time of 4:15pm.
Saturday's Practice at the Hoover Center
Saturday, September 3 will be our last Saturday practice. We will practice from 9am to 10:30am at the Hoover Center on Fox Road...assuming we don't have thunderstorms again.
