Our Second Time Trial and Upcoming Meets

The competitive portion of our season is here! We have two meets this week including our first home meet at Lyon Farm on Thursday.
On Monday, August 22 we will have our first meet against the defending boys and girls state champs at Batavia Rotolo. The meet is scheduled to start at 4:30pm and bus transportation will be provided to and from the meet. The bus will leave at 3pm from the middle school. Runners who plan to leave from Rotolo with their parents need to give a parent release form to a coach at the meet. Runners cannot go home with anyone other than immediate family members from an away meet unless it has been cleared by Mr. Perzee.
Our second meet of the week is a home meet at Lyon Farm against Geneva South on Thursday, August 25. The meet is scheduled to start at 4:30, but Geneva gets out of school later than we do so we may start a bit later. Transportation is provided to Lyon Farm from the middle school, but runners will need to be picked up at Lyon Farm. Runners do not need a parent release form for home meets.
Our Second Time Trial
During our second trial we had a lot of runners run personal records (P.R.'s) in incredibly tough conditions. Although everyone is in better shape compared to the first week of the season, the first time trial was shaded and in the morning. Our second time trial was in the blazing heat of the afternoon. Congratulations to anyone who earned a P.R. Also congratulations to those who ran a two mile race without walking for the first time to earn their uniform.
