Another Hoffert Record

Last year we posted about former YMSXC athlete Jake Hoffert breaking Yorkville High School's indoor 3200m (2-mile) record. This year it was his twin brother Luke breaking the record, twice. Luke originally broke the record by running a 9:49 at the Joliet West Invite on March 9. He broke it again in emphatic fashion with his 6th place finish at the Illinois Prep Top Times meet over the weekend in which he ran a 9:34.01. The Illinois Prep Top Times Indoor Classic is considered the unofficial indoor state meet and the great competition helped Luke along. Congratulations to Luke Hoffert on an amazing indoor track season, and good luck to him as the outdoor season begins.
Congratulations also go out to the girls 4x800m relay, which placed first; Skyler Bollinger, who finished 2nd in the 1600 (1 mile); and Rachel Augius, who finished third in the high jump.
