Awards Night

Congratulations to everyone for a great season! With a team of 81 it's tough to give everyone one-on-one attention, and hopefully your recognition tonight made up for that a little. If you are interested in running cross country next year (whether it is as an 8th grade or at the high school) you can schedule a personal meeting with Coach Miller. He can talk with you during advisory about what you can do to improve next season. If you are interested in meeting Coach Miller send him an email and he will put you on the list.
It is a good idea to take a little time off from running now that the season is winding down for most. Cross country can be pretty rough on your body so a week or two without running isn't a bad thing. An off-season workout plan will be released a week or so after State for those interested in training on their own.
Finally, we hope a lot of you will come out to cheer on our Sectional runners at YHS tomorrow morning. The girls will run at 10am and the boys will run at 10:45. Awards should be finished before noon. The top 3 teams will move on to the IESA State Cross Country Championships in Bloomington/Normal next Saturday. We hope to see you tomorrow!
