Conference Champs

I've always said it is very hard for us to win a Conference title without a 6th grade team. I never said impossible, though, and our team proved they have what it takes to be successful with a clean sweep of the four races we were in. Even with last place finishes in the 6th grade races we ended up as Prairie Conference champs! Congratulations to everyone! The full results are below as well as all of today's accomplishments.
Wednesday will be our last practice with the full team. We will hand out stickers, make sure runner diarys are up-to-date, and do some other end of the season things. The Sectional/State team will run tomorrow, but anyone else can join if they take it seriously. Uniforms will be handed in on Thursday during Advisory.

Obviously this was a great season this year. I wanted to point out that I was on the sectional team last year and the seventh runner at conference last year got 12:10 for boys. Our boys team's seventh runner this year got 11:44 at conference. That is a huge difference. So definetly don't be dissappointed if you didn't make the top seven this year. Also that Alexis has the three best times in YMS history. Alexx has the best time in YMS history. This is also the best team in YMS history considering we are the only team of YMS to be confernence champions.

What an incredible seaon! I am so proud of Karson's accomplishments. Who knew running could be so exciting? This has been a real highlight of his middle school time. This is a super bunch of athletes and friends, I am so glad that Karson has been a part of this team.
