Yorkville Middle School Cross Country

Cross Country Registration

May 16, 2012

Our cross country program has grown every year since it first began in 2008, and since the paperwork can be a lot to sort out we are having cross country registration before the school year ends for this upcoming season. Here is what is needed to sign up for cross country:

Cross country registration will occur in the YMS Cafeteria from 6:30 to 7:30pm on May 29. You do not have to attend registration if you turn in your registration form to Yorkville Middle School before the 29th. Registration is an opportunity to meet your future coaches and teammates and to learn more about our sport so we hope you can make it.

Also, have you signed up for Endurance Camp yet?

thanks for the support:) and there isn't tryouts. and even if i dont play a lot, ill still get in shape from practice and i'm still going to run by myself. but im hoping the workouts i will do in football will help me get in shape because im hoping to become skinnier and musclier since running hasn't given me much effect in my arms and stuff. now im just rambling...but yeah.

thats great! no offense but good luck with them ACTUALLY letting you play. and never mind im not going to go therer its useless arguing. i'd rather spend my life doing something practicala nd not spend my time with a bunch of guys. i want to play sports i ll be involoved and i can make. good luck making the team!

girls actually can do football, it is just very uncommon. and i have the papers and blackburn knows i want to do it. and technically they cant not let me do it otherwise it would be sexist, an in the handbook it says how students cant be judged on race, gender,or religion, or whatever else. oh, and camilles doing it with me:)

Triston, you don't actually have to go to registration if you can't make it. You can simply drop the registration form off at the office or with Coach Martin. Your mom could bring an Endurance Camp form to registration, though.

User Comment Triston Robb on May 16, 2012

I can't make registration because of a baseball game. But my mom or someone will go. Also can she sign me up for endurance camp there?

User Comment Coach Miller on May 16, 2012

Only 7th and 8th graders who will be on the YMS team have to pay.

User Comment Anonymous on May 16, 2012

do they have to pay the $65?

User Comment Anonymous on May 16, 2012

oh, ok

User Comment Coach Miller on May 16, 2012

We tried to get 5th and 6th graders added this year, but that didn't go through. Maybe next year.

User Comment Anonymous on May 16, 2012

no its only for 7th and 8th graders. before offical practice (meaning the practices before school starts) younger family people or any family can run with the team

we're having 5th and 6th graders run with us??
