Yorkville Middle School Cross Country

Next Season's Schedule

January 31, 2012

The schedule for the 2012 cross country season has been tentatively set thanks to the work of our Athletic Director, Mr. Howlett. Here are some of the highlights:

  • 3 home meets, including our own invite called the Fox Trot Invite!
  • The Conference meet is now on a Tuesday
  • Meet at the new Oswego school
  • Only 1 week with more than 2 meets (we will split the squad for this week)
The schedule could still change, but for the most part this will be our schedule for the 2012 season. We won't know our Sectional until sometime in August. Mark your calendars now!

if u really want to know who i am send me an email (@gmail.com)... its my first and last name with something in between.... as in george.washington@gmail.com or george_washington@gmail.com or george-washington@gmail.com.........

User Comment me, seventh grader on February 9, 2012

well, i dont necessarily want to be a mystery but what i have said is SOOO not like me.... and some is kinda embarrassing if i said who i am.... its kinda like im much better than u. they never told us their name and every one seems fine with it... plus im gonna be in track :) so if u are in track then u can see me like every day when the season starts so dont worry about it... u dont have to keep asking who i am cause im not telling no matter what... i guess that kinda backfires on me cause i want to know who the other anonymous' are... and stop using just anonymous.. it makes me SOOO confused whos talking..... enjoy life.... and join track :)

User Comment Anonymous on February 9, 2012

no not better and i dont think your a brat i think saying u have a reputation is funny and stuff because thats the kind of people that talk like that. but whatever,, think your cool and be a mystery. i get it, well its not going to help your "reputation" to be a secret either. better? .. sorry! and i dont want to say who i am cause i am a different person. the first person was a girl, but me who is anoymnous is a guy.

User Comment me, seventh grader on February 9, 2012

no, because u think im a brat and it wont help my reputation if i say who i am... the only possible way to possibly know who i am is if u say who u are... but i might not say who i am... i might just give u another clue of who i am...... any better? sorry..

User Comment Anonymous on February 8, 2012

no i wouldnt because that narrows it down to like what 20-30 more people!!! omg just tell me! whats the problem!! im not asking you to marry me im asking for your name!

User Comment Jacob on February 5, 2012

User Comment me, seventh grader on February 4, 2012

well, what if i just said that to try to help boys (like alexx) try to decide what sport(s) he should do and try to convince him that track would be amazing. i never said i was a boy... just a seventh grader.

User Comment Anonymous on February 4, 2012

i no your a guy because you said baseball and you WOULD say softball if you were a girl smart one! and yes i would still care! you dont know if im a girl or boy so i jsut want to know who you are! haha

User Comment Coach Miller on February 4, 2012

The workout plan I gave you at the end of the season would be a good place to start. The weather's been great for running lately. Do you need a copy of it?

User Comment Gianna on February 4, 2012

Coach MArtin/Miller, I need to get in shape for Track. what shoud i do?

User Comment Gianna on February 4, 2012

Dear me, seventh grade, it's not required to be on the cross country team to be on the track team, they are two completely different sports. Track starts March 12, good luck! :)

User Comment me, seventh grader on February 4, 2012

what if i wasn't on the xc team but is thinking about joining track??

User Comment Anonymous on February 4, 2012

because i want to know. i think its weird people put weird things as their names. and i will tell u who i am if u tell me who u are first. just say so! gosh its the website of the team you were on!!!!

User Comment me, seventh grader on February 3, 2012

Why would you want to know who I am?

User Comment Anonymous on February 3, 2012

can you please tell us who u are. r u alexx? or jacab? or who???? idk who plays baseball!

User Comment Anonymous on February 3, 2012

hello everybody!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

User Comment me, seventh grader on February 2, 2012

Thanks (the 4 people who responded to my question) ill think of all of those possibilities

User Comment me an eigth grader on February 2, 2012

i tried both last year but my coach was kind of mean and judged you so i prefered doing my track meets and he just thought running was stupid and he knew i loved it and stuff so that was my opinion. i mean i liked softball but my coach gave me a new perspective. i still do like it but track is my thng so yeah. and also. i had that problem where if you ahve a game and a meet, you could do some early events and go to the game after. i did that sometimes. it just depends what you want to do cause i didnt always like doing only early events i also liked the relays and yeah sorry for writing so much hahahhahaha i couldnt stop!!!!!!

User Comment Anonymous on February 2, 2012

homework... haha jk :)

User Comment Anonymous on February 2, 2012

im bored. what should i do????

User Comment me, seventh grader on February 2, 2012

thanks!!

User Comment Coach Martin on February 2, 2012

We have had athletes do both track and baseball in the past. Track practice ends around 4:15, which still gives you enough time to get to baseball practice at night. If you do decide to do both, I would say that a track meet would trump a baseball practice and a baseball game would trump a track practice. If you happen to have both a track meet and a baseball game on the same day the track coaches are usually willing to work something out with you as long as you give them a few days notice. At this age, it's important to try out as many sports as you can. Who knows, maybe you'll join track and find out that you prefer it more than baseball...or you'll find out that track isn't for you. At least you'll know for sure and won't be left wondering "what if" for the rest of your life.

User Comment Anonymous on February 2, 2012
