The Last Week
September 28, 2015
This is the final week of the season for the vast majority of our team. Next Monday will be the last full team practice where we will announce our post-season roster. We will take the top seven runners to the post-season as well as three alternates. When selecting our post-season roster we take the last few invites into consideration as well as P.R.'s and performance during practices. We will take seventh or eighth graders for the top seven, but we sometimes prioritize eighth graders over seventh graders for our alternates if times are close since it is their last chance to go down to state in middle school.
Tuesday at Geneva
Tuesday's meet at Geneva will be held at Peck Farm and should start promptly at 4:15. The race starts from the northeast side of Peck Farm near Viking Drive. This race is optional for runners in Coach Miller's group, but they will still go to the meet and participate in a workout at Peck Farm.
Thursday After Practice
The Fox Trot Invite this Saturday is our home invite, and it takes a lot of work to put it together. After practice on Thursday we are inviting any runners who can help to stay for an hour to help the coaches with various tasks to set up for the meet. Runners do not have to inform the coaches that they plan to stay, and we will give everyone something to do after practice. We should be done at 5:15.
Friday's Practice
Friday we will be practicing at the high school so everyone can run our Fox Trot Invite course behind Yorkville High School. Runners will take a bus to the high school after school gets out and we should be done by 5pm. Runners can be picked up behind the high school at 5.
Fox Trot Invite Help
If you haven't volunteered to help at the Fox Trot Invite yet and want to help out please go to our volunteer page and fill out the form. We will send out assignments in the next day or two. Even if you can't help at the meet you can still help out by donating non-perishable food items for our concessions on Saturday. Please bring any items in when you pick up your runner from practice this week. All proceeds from concessions go directly to the cross country program.

Are they full results available?

Hi all.....Somebody may have accidentally taken Peyton's green sweatshirt. His initials are on the tag. I

A big thanks to coach Miller, Martin and Nauman (and of course the runners) for all their hard work this season. It has been a great season and EVERYBODY should be proud of their efforts.

It's a nice feature, but not all communities that participate have the same tax base as other communities. Yorkville does not equal New Lenox or St. Charles.

I don't see 2015 results on the foxtrot page. Planning to post those? One comment I have for you, all large invitationals we have been in this year had real time online results... This is a nice feature. We may wait a week for our coaches if we rely on them.
Coach Miller on October 4, 2015
The times are the times registered by the chips. The clock on the course is unofficial. All coaches have been sent the full results, and I am waiting until later tonight to send out team results in case there are any missing runners in the results.

Where are the results for the Varsity Boys from both the Fox Trot and conference for non-Yorkville runners? Where are the team results?
Denise Kachlic on October 4, 2015
So sorry for ALL the extra time you had to put into the Invitational results :( However, Colin believes his Fox Trot time is inaccurate. He looked at the clock as he crossed the line @ 11:42. I just thought you should know... Thanks so much for ALL that you do!!! It has been a great season and a great learning experience for ALL of us!
