Thanks to everyone who came last night to register for the 2015 YMS cross country season, and to those who sent in their registration forms ahead of time. We had 42 runners register, including 29 seventh graders, which is the most we have ever had after a registration night. You can still register up until the season starts on August 3, however. Just email a registration form to Coach Miller at demiller@y115.org or drop it off at Yorkville Middle School before the school year is over.
Family Fun Day Race
Family Fun Day is a week from this Saturday on June 13. There will be a pancake breakfast from 7am to 10am in the Yorkville Middle School cafeteria. Tickets are $20 per family or $5 per person. Email Coach Martin at cmartin@y115.org for tickets.
Cross country will be running a two mile race at 9am. If you haven't registered yet you can get a registration form from our website. The price is only $20, and all entrants get a t-shirt. The price goes up after today so get your registration form to YMS today! We highly encourage all of our runners to participate in this race since it is the distance of our cross country races and will be great to give everyone a good base time heading into summer Endurance Camp and the cross country season.
If you are going to participate in the race and the pancake breakfast, we recommend eating pancakes AFTER the race. You've been warned. There will also be face painting, a bounce house, and other carnival games along with a dunk tank featuring teachers, coaches, and administrators from around the school district.
