2014 YMS Cross Country
May 2, 2014
Yorkville's high school cross country team won the girls and boys state championships last season, and the middle school teams both finished in the top five in the state. This success isn't because the coaches focus on the top runners, however. We want to make cross country a fun, social experience while helping every runner become the best they can be. Ask current cross country runners how much fun the sport is and you'll realize cross country is more than just running. The cross country program is Yorkville is as close to a family as you'll find outside your actual family.
For more information about our cross country program you can check out our team packet.

When To Sign Up
Cross country registration is Monday, May 12 from 6:30 to 7:30pm. The only thing that needs to be turned in is the cross country registration form. If you can't make it that night, the form can also be turned in electronically by emailing it to Coach Miller at demiller@y115.org. You will have the opportunity to meet the coaches at registration and ask any questions you have.

You can view the FAQ section of our website for more details, but you need the following to sign up for cross country:
- Physical (Due 1st day of practice)

What Should I Do Over The Summer?
Cross country can be a difficult, but rewarding, sport. To get the most out of it we highly recommend running over the summer. Endurance Camp is a summer running camp run by the high school and middle school cross country coaches. We run every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday morning from June 9 to August 1 from 7:15 to 8:45am.
Any questions you have about the team can probably be answered on our FAQ page, or by contacting one of the coaches.
