Red/White Run Results

September 14, 2013

The weather was perfect Saturday morning, and even though we said not to expect many P.R.'s because the course we ran at Belvidere was incredibly fast last Saturday it didn't stop a lot of our runners from running their season best times. We will use these results to determine our roster for the Troy Invite, which will be announced on Monday at practice.

In addition to all of the P.R.'s, we had all four of our records for the Red/White Run go down. Colleen O'Connor and Olivia Borowiak tied at 12:30 to break the 7th grade girls record. Coincidently, the record was originally set at 13:47 in 2010 when Erin Reynolds and Sydney Beach tied and it was also tied last season by Maggie Klemm. No one can seem to hold onto that record by themselves. The 7th grade boys record was beat by Alex Loos who ran a 12:23 to beat the time of 12:37 set by Cody Hornyak in 2010.

The 8th grade records were taken down by Maggie Klemm, who ran a 12:10 to beat Julia Megazzini's record of 13:49 from last season, and Patrick Black running 11:38 to beat the record set by Jake Hoffert in 2010 at 11:47. You can go to our Results/Records page for full results.

Not totally. If runners had PRs that were close we looked at other things like performance during the week and this morning's race results.

Is it strictly based on PRs?

User Comment Anonymous on September 14, 2013

Okay thanks!

User Comment Coach Miller on September 14, 2013

Yes, we are using PRs to determine the roster for the most part so runners who didn't run today still have a chance to make the Troy roster.

Are you taking into consideration the people that weren't there today?

User Comment Coach Miller on September 14, 2013

It's been corrected. Sorry about that, Anna.
