Cross Country Information
May 6, 2013
Yorkville's cross country program in among the best in the state, but it's not because we focus on our best runners. We want all of our athletes to succeed whether they are running 5-minute miles or 20-minute miles. You can read our team packet for details about the team, but here are some important things to know:

When To Sign Up
Cross country registration is Monday, May 13 from 6:30 to 7:30pm. The only thing that needs to be turned in is the cross country registration form. If you can't make it that night, the form can also be turned in electronically. You will have the opportunity to meet the coaches at registration and ask any questions you have.
What Do I Need To Sign Up?
You can view the FAQ section of our website for more details, but you need the following to sign up for cross country:
- Physical (Due 1st day of practice)
- Sports Information Packet (Due 1st day of practice)
- $65 Activity Fee (Due 1st day of practice)
- Registration Form (Due May 13)
What Should I Do Over The Summer?
Cross country can be a difficult, but rewarding, sport. To get the most out of it we highly recommend running over the summer. Endurance Camp is a summer running camp run by the high school and middle school cross country coaches. We run every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday morning from June 11 to July 20. In addition to Endurance Camp, the middle school will have two weeks of optional practices on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday during the weeks of July 22 and July 29.
Any questions you have about the team can probably be answered on our FAQ page, or by contacting one of the coaches.

High school doesn't have a sign up night like we do, I don't think. You can talk to the coaches at Endurance Camp, but their website is yorkvillecrosscountry.com if you want to check things out there.
