Step Up at Step Up Night

One of our biggest recruiting nights is Step Up Night, which will be held on Wednesday, May 8 from 6 to 8pm. Almost all incoming 7th graders will be at Step Up Night and it's a good chance to talk to them about cross country. While the coaches will be present to talk to potential runners, it is our current athletes who do the best job of recruiting. Last year, Alexx Nauman, Cody Hornyak, Eli Smock, Gianna Salzbrunn, Jacob Love, Julia Megazzini, and Sydney Beach did a great job of recruiting, which is why we had such a big team last year. We hope to see that same recruiting success this year. If you would like to help out, here is what we need you to do:
- Be at Step Up Night from 6 to 8pm on May 8
- Have some good stories to tell about cross country
- Wear your medals if you have any
- Wear your team t-shirt, uniform, or any other cross country-related merchandise
- Be ENTHUSIASTIC! Don't wait for 6th graders to approach you. Talk to them while their parents are talking to the coaches and wander the room trying to get them interested.

On to Oak Prairie, good luck to all who are going along. We will(or were) facing: Bolingbrook Humphrey, Bolingbrook Jane Addams, Lockport Oak Prarie (host), New Lenox Liberty, Oswego Plank, Romeoville Martinez, Willowbrook Westview Hills, and Yorkville. Don't worry all who didn't make it this year there is always next year.
