Fox Trot Invite Results

What a great job everyone did at our first Fox Trot Invite! The runners turned out some fantastic times in incredibly rainy conditions and our parent volunteers helped us organize what one of the coaches referred to as the "best-run invite" he has ever been to. While many of our runners enjoyed running in the rain we know it's more difficult for parents and volunteers who have to stand in the rain. We can't thank you enough for your help!
Our team finished 2nd in the overall meet standing, which is an incredible accomplishment given we finished in last in the two 5th/6th grade races.
The 7th grade girls finished 2nd behind a strong Channahon squad with Maggie Klemm leading the way in 6th place with a time of 14:04. Behind Maggie were Lindsay Harrison (10th, 14:25), Tayla Van Leeve (14th, 15:00), Emily Titus (18th, 15:54), Haylie Wolf (22nd, 16:14), Anna Doty (24th, 16:19), and Emily Berge (26th, 16:23).
The 7th grade boys finished 2nd to Oswego Bednarcik led by Patrick Black in 5th place with a time of 13:15. Patrick was followed by Eddie Kilgore (7th, 13:51), Ben Summers (11th, 14:07), Cole Johnson (18th, 14:26), Hunter Negron (23rd, 14:39), and Rio Lara (26th, 14:46).
The 8th grade girls took home our only 1st place trophy of the day led by a team-record run by Alexis Grandys who finished 2nd with a time of 12:48. Alexis was followed by Maddie Dearborn (6th, 13:24), Dominique Anderson (10th, 14:14), Julia Megazzini (11th, 14:22), Nicole Doles (13th, 14:32), Piper Buyansky (21st, 14:49), and Sydney Anderson (24th, 14:59).
The 8th grade boys finished in a tie with Channahon for 1st, but Channahon won the tie-breaker since their 6th runner beat our 6th runner. Alexx Nauman led the way in 2nd place with a time of 11:41. Behind Alexx were Darien Ramos (4th, 12:42), Dawson Diederich (6th, 12:57), Trent Richmond (11th, 13:14), Grant Bowers (14th, 13:17), Triston Robb (20th, 13:40), and Karson Manukas (22nd, 13:43).
Finally, the open race did not include team standings, but the top 10 boys and top 10 girls came away with medals. On the boys side Evan Jaros finished 1st with a time of 13:17. Behind Evan was a pack of Foxes including Brett Stauffenberg (2nd, 13:23), Jacob Love (3rd, 13:34), Brendan Zeinstra (4th, 13:48), Lucas Farren (5th, 13:57), Jake Martin (7th, 14:58), Eli Smock (8th, 15:07), and Zach Miesuk (9th, 15:10).
On the girls side Natalie Hrcek was the top girls finisher in 3rd place with a time of 16:20. After Natalie came Autumn Vest (4th, 16:33), Emily Hawker (5th, 16:46), Becca Hendrickson (7th, 17:27), and Sierra Anderson (9th, 17:29).

when the meet's over... probably around 6:30 or 7:00 if there's 4 races and they're about 30 minutes long. i would suggest bringing a cellphone or borrowing someone on the buses cellphone

Belvidere usually has around 12 teams. We've done very well at their invite since we started going 2 years ago.
