The Yorkville Patch has recognized our state cross country runners for their great performances at the IESA State Meet with an article denoting their accomplishments and dubbing them "Whiz Kids," which also includes a free pizza from Rosati's. It's great to see the cross country team at both levels getting the recognition it deserves and hopefully the high school team will continue the winning this weekend at Sectionals and next weekend at State.
Also, Cross Lutheran's girls cross country team deserves some recognition for their victory in the National Lutheran Cross Country Championship. Skyler Bollinger won the race with a meet-record time of 11:47 to go along with the team's first place finish. Congratulations to the Cross Lutheran girls for a great season!

Everyone on the team is amazing, but that doesn't mean everyone will always get recognized. Cross country has needed to have a lot of success to start to get noticed so even if it was just our state runners getting recognized it's a big deal.

Skyler is amazing. High school girls next year are lucky because she's amazing and she would of won state. Next year as a high schooler she will be like all-state and be almost if not the top high school girl. Of course of girls this year will be right up there next year though.
