National Running Day
May 31, 2011
June 1 is National Running Day so why don't you get out there and run? You can go to www.runningday.org to get some good ideas to celebrate the day.
One idea would be to sign up for a summer 5K. The Kendall County "Sweetness" run is this Saturday, June 4 at 8:15am at Yorkville High School. There is also an 8k at 8am if you feel up to the challenge. A number of middle school and high school distance runners will be at the race so why don't you join them? You can go to www.payton34.com for more information on the Sweetness. If you end up running the Sweetness make sure you let us know how you did and how you felt about your race.

Coach Martin will be coaching with us again. We might even get a volunteer or two to help out depending on how many runners sign up. Our practices will be behind the main campus since there will be construction at the track over the summer. If that changes we will post that information on the website. Nice job on the 5K, Cody. That is almost faster than what I ran for my last 5K. Keep up the good work!

Practice will be from 9 to 10:30am behind the high school until school starts. We won't be at the track since they will be working on it over the summer.
