The YMS track team had to wait an extra few days to see who would qualify for the State meet. The Sectional meet was held this past Saturday, but only part of the meet could be completed because of the weather. A number of runners qualified for the IESA State Track Meet in East Peoria this weekend.
- Rebecca Jasutis (Cross Country) qualified for the hurdles.
- The 7th grade 4x200m relay qualified with Gianna Salzbrunn (Cross Country), Abby Guddendorf, Sydney Beach (Cross Country), Katy Kellogg (Cross Country), and Erin Reynolds (Cross Country)
- Megan Brineman qualified for the discus.
- Jordan Sullivan qualified for the 100m dash.
Congratulations to all the state qualifiers, and to all the YMS track athletes for a great season!
