Yorkville Wins Sectional, Advances To State

The high school cross country teams both advanced to State on Saturday. The boys finished 2nd to go to State for the 4th straight year. They are one of only 6 teams to make State every year since IHSA went to the 3-class system for cross country. The girls won their Sectional for the second straight year and will go into the State meet as the favorites to win. You can go to the high school team's website for more information. Coach Miller will be going down to Peoria next week to watch the State meet so say "hi" if you're down there.
