Yorkville Cross Country is State Bound!

Congratulations to our Yorkville Middle School cross country team! The girls placed 3rd and the boys placed 2nd which means both teams will be moving on to State next Saturday! A big congratulations also goes out to Jake Hoffert, Luke Hoffert, and Kyle Rawle who earned All-Sectionals honors. We don't have practice on Monday so enjoy the first back-to-back days off in over 2 months. Although next week's practice is only mandatory for our State runners we welcome anyone who wants to join us for one last week of running. It was great to see Vince, Ryan Barry, Ryan Cyr, Laura, Brianne, Ross, Chase, and Joselyn come out to watch the team even though they weren't a part of our Sectional team. All 51 runners made a difference on our team this season and it's tough to realize there is only one week left.
You can see the full results below as well as a picture of the plaques the runners earned. You can also see some of the results and information about State at the IESA website. Melissa had a great idea to make something to put in the shoes on each plaque with all of the runner's names. If anyone has any creative suggestions for that idea please let us know. Also please send along any pictures you have from Sectionals. We are looking for a good picture to send to the Kendall County Record so if you think you have some candidates please send them along.
