What an incredible first meet for YMS Cross Country! Everyone who ran improved on times we ran in practice, and some of our newcomers did great given how little they have run. Our 8th grade boys impressed with the 1-2-3 finish of Zak, Joe, and Shaun and Josh wasn't far behind. Brad was our 5th runner for the 8th grade boys and finished in the top 10. The 8th grade boys won with an incredible score of 21. Anna finished in the top 10 for the 7th grade girls as did Savanah and Lexie for the 8th grade girls, and everyone else had a great meet as well. We don't have results yet, and I don't think they were officially scoring the meet, but we had a great showing. Our next meet is on Thursday at Simmons Middle School in Aurora. Make sure you check out the photos from today's meet. Thanks to Marvin for taking those photos during the meet. It lets Coach Martin and I concentrate on the coaching.
