Conference Results and Awards Night
October 9, 2009
Well, those conference results were certainly worth waiting for. All four of our teams earned some hardware since the top 3 teams win trophies. The 7th grade girls took third place led by Sarah Butler, who won the race with a 9:58, and Caroline Almas who finished 4th with a 10:03. Anieka Bosman, Brianne Soles, and Sarah Megazzini rounded out our top 5.
The 7th grade boys won their race even with a scoring error that harmed their score. Jake Hoffert, Luke Hoffert, and James Daugherty finished in the top 5 with times of 8:55, 9:02, and 9:12 while Brody Vester and Kyle Rawle finished 4th and 5th for our team. Mason Brant was technically our 5th runner, but he was marked as a Sandwich runner on the results.
The 8th grade girls also won their race led by Anna Greenawalt who finished 4th with a time of 13:42. Jazmin Lazcano, Jordan Bulliner, Sara Eriskine, J'Keyah Swope, and Vicki Granat all finished close to each other for a great team win.
Finally, the 8th grade boys took second led by Justin Vacha and Graham Clark finishing 4th and 5th with times of 11:46 and 11:54. Nolan Tweedy, Rob Delgado, and Tim Borneman finished the top 5 for us.
