All of our runners did a great job on Thursday as evidenced by the fact that so many beat their times from the time trial. Harris Park is a tough course to PR and it was good to see that so many runners did. I also want to recognize Jake Hoffert for beating our 7th grade boy's record at the Harris course with a time of 13:46. The 7th grade boys actually would have beat the 8th grade boys if they were competing against each other, but both boys teams did great.
The girl's meet was won by Kaneland with a score of 22 and Cross Lutheran came in second with a score of 61. Our girls stayed together pretty well but came up short with 72 points. It's early in the season so I was more impressed with the pack running than I was worried about the times.
Our boy's team won the meet handily with a score of 17 to Kaneland's 60 and Cross Lutheran's 110. So many boys ran PRs that I can't list them all here, but I do want to mention Justin Vacha's winning time of 13:27. Our boys also used a lot of strategy during the race which was great to see.
