The Meets Begin

We are finally entering the competitive portion of our season. There's a lot going on this week so please contact a coach if you have any questions.

Home Meet vs Batavia Rotolo at Lyon Farm

Our first meet is against Batavia at Lyon Farm on Route 71 on Tuesday, August 25. There will be no transportation provided to this meet since it is a home meet before school starts. Runners are expected to be at Lyon Farm no later than 4pm. The meet is scheduled to start at 4:30pm with the girls running first. The boys will run as soon as the girls race is over. Runners should bring the following supplies to all meets:

Spikes and Training Shoes
Water Bottle
Change of Clothes
Uniform
Sunscreen

We can still use some volunteers to help with our meet at Lyon Farm. If you plan to be at the meet and can help out, please fill out our volunteer form.

Thursday at Geneva South

The New Lenox Invite had originally been scheduled for this date, but has been moved to September 3. Everyone will participate in this meet at Geneva South on Thursday, August 27. The bus will leave from Yorkville Middle School at 2:45pm and the meet is scheduled to start at 4:30pm. As with all conference meets, the girls will run first followed by the boys.

Friday's "Lock-In"

Friday's practice will be the first practice at Yorkville Middle School and will be held from 3:30 to 5pm because of meetings the coaches need to attend. After practice, we will hold a "lock-in" at the middle school until 9pm. A suggested donation of $10 will go to support the middle school cross country program. We will have games in the gym, a movie in the cafeteria, and pizza and snacks available. If you did not get a copy of the permission slip you can download it here.
