Great First Week Of Camp!

It was great to see so many 7th and 8th graders out for Endurance Camp, whether or not you are all going to run cross country at Yorkville Middle School in the Fall. I have already seen everybody improve in just the first week so I can only imagine how much you will all have improved by the end of July. Just make sure you keep running between the time Endurance Camp ends and when cross country starts on August 17.
I also want to give some props to some YMS cross country alums who have been at camp and are forming the basis for a strong freshman team. Zak Arcara, Shawn O'Malley, and Joe Runkle have all been to camp during the week and Brad King will be at camp once his arm heals a bit. It's good to see our former runners helping build on the great high school cross country team.
I will be in Philadelphia for the next month so hopefully you can all get on without me. Coach Muth and Coach Draper are great coaches so I know you're all in good hands, and YHS has some great alumni runners helping out so learn as much as you can while you're at camp. See you in August.
