Belvidere Central Invite Information

On Saturday, September 7 we will travel to Belvidere Central Middle School for the Belvidere Central Invite. The bus will leave Yorkville Middle School at 6am. Belvidere Central Middle School is on Beloit Road in Belvidere and you can see a map here. There will be four races at the Belvidere Central Invite, starting at 9am with the girls open race. The boys open race will be at 9:45. Runners who did not run at the New Lenox Invite this past Thursday will be running in the open races. The girls who participated in the New Lenox Invite will run at 10:30 at Belvidere and the boys will run at 11:00am. The top 25 individuals in each race will receive awards. If you plan to take your athlete home from Belvidere you will need to fill out a release form.
Even though Belvidere is our furthest meet we hope you will be able to make it to cheer on our team. This will be the first meet where our entire team will be running and it will be great to get support. Some former YMS athletes will be making the trip up to cheer on the team since the high school doesn't have a meet Saturday so it should be an exciting time. We hope to see you there! We anticipate the bus will return to YMS between 1:30 and 2.
What To Bring
All runners should make sure they bring a bag to carry their equipment to the meet. We recommend bringing the following:
- Spikes AND trainers (Spikes can be worn on this course, but trainers should be worn at all times other than the race and warmup)
- Water bottle
- Healthy pre- and post-race snacks
- Foam roller
- Change of clothes

We haven't received a list of teams participating. The Belvidere schools generally have good teams, though.

Is there another format to download the release form? It will not open on my computer? It tries to open Outlook Express. Is there a .pdf version? Or a hardcopy you can send home with Ellie?
