Our First Home Meet

Our first home meet (and first meet overall for most of the team) is Tuesday, September 3 at Lyon Farm. Lyon Farm is located on Route 71 near the intersection with Van Emmon. You can see a map of it here. Thanks to Angie Summers, Cathy Price, Theresa Vest, David Price, Pat Zeinstra, Bethany Ward, and Elin Bender for volunteering to help at the meet. Tuesday's meet will be run by everyone except those runners in Coach Miller's group. Coach Miller's group will still go to the course, but will hold a practice there and cheer on their teammates. We will be running against Oswego Traughber, Cross Lutheran, and Crossroads. The meet should start around 4:30 with the girls race followed by the boys race. The meet should be over around 5:30. Athletes need to be picked up at Lyon Farm since there will be no bus service back to the middle school. A bus will take them to the farm after school, however. You do not need to fill out a parent release form like you would at an away meet.

Definitely. Bring your spikes and your trainers to every meet just in case, but tomorrow is definitely a spike course.
