Captains for 2013
August 18, 2013
Every single candidate for team captain this year would have made a great captain. That made it extremely hard to narrow down our choices. That being said, we expect all of our runners to exhibit leadership by cheering on their teammates and opponents and being a supportive team member so the absence of the title of captain doesn't mean you can't be a leader on this team. With that, here are our 2013 captains:
Alex Loos
"...my school spirit would boost my teammates to be their best."
Autumn Vest
"I will encourage others to have fun and to try hard."
Ben Summers
"I want to help kids get [the coaches award] and reach their potential."
Colleen O'Connor
"I love exercise and I would love to share my enthusiasm with other people!"
Evan Bender
"I show really good sportsmanship and am kind to others."
Justin Herron
"I will be supportive and encouraging of all of my teammates through the season."
Kylie LaSanska
"I am genuinely happy for my teammates when they succeed. Even if that means they did better than me."
Lindsay Harrison: 2-Time Captain
"I support my cross country family in every event no matter what."
Maggie Klemm: 2-Time Captain
"I will also give 110% for every practice and race to set a good example for my team members."

Hi Coach, Saw the post on Facebook about needing helpers at the meets. I would be glad to help whenever I can.
