YHS Teams Are State-Bound!

The high school boys and girls cross country teams both ran their best races of the year at the East Peoria Sectional to pave their way to the State Meet next week!The boys team was led by Jake Austin who finished 19th in 15:47, Max Sliwa who finished 23rd in 15:56, Dan Szopinski who finished 37th in 16:12, Mike Addison who finished 39th in 16:14, Jack Bilinski who finished 43rd in 16:20, and Scott King who finished 71st in 16:56. The boys finished 5th with 161 points.
As for the girls, they were led by Krysten Sebby who finished 6th in 18:13, Esther Bell who finished 17th in 18:46, Ali Hester who finished 21st in 18:56, Ashley Leonetti who finished 27th in 19:12, Alyssa Harbin who finished 65th in 20:14, Julie Runkle who finished 74th in 20:37, and Madi Hester who finished 94th in 21:13.
