2012 Endurance Camp

Endurance Camp is the most important thing you can do during the cross country off-season to prepare for the 2012 season. Most of our top runners were at camp this past summer so they were in good shape once the season officially started. If you want to be a part of the top 7 this season, or even if you just want to drastically improve your times, you need to be at Endurance Camp.

You can get more information about Endurance Camp from the district website. The camp will run on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays from 7:30am to 9:00am between June 11 and July 20. If you are interested in Endurance Camp you can download the form here. This year the high school runners and middle school runners will only overlap during warmups so the coaches can give more attention to each group.

Coach Miller plans to be there along with the high school coaches so it should be a fun time along with a great preparation for the cross country season. If you aren't sure you will be joining the cross country team in the fall Endurance Camp is even more important. The camp will give you a good idea of what cross country is like so you can determine if you like it. You'll also get in great shape which will benefit for whatever sport you choose in the fall. We hope to see you at Endurance Camp this summer.

Martin, I asked huli about bungies and he said they hadn't used them yet this year, but you would have to ask draper about barowing them, miller if u read this tell draper we are in dire need of the bungie cords at the middle school, he will prob know what u r talking about thanks:) (and too all track peeps nag Martin about bungies even if you don't know what they are)

Your first practice is July 30th. so yeah. just like last year. al u have to do is click "team calendar" and keep moving the months forward and it says "practice 9am at YHS track." your welcome!

I'm pretty sure it's not required, but you can have your mom call the athletic department at the high school to find out for sure. It's definitely not required for cross country.

my mom said fall sports require it. cheerleading does too and basketball.

Strength and conditioning camp is a football thing. It's not required for any sport.

Oh sorry i wasnt trying to be snobby! im sorry its just i just got the phamplet (hahha LOL) last night and i knew it was in the morning like 730-9 but then i realized HS was earlier and im like totally spazzed out. and dont HS have to do that strength and conditioning camp ni the morning in order to do sports?? cause thats A LOT to do

Fair enough. Sorry for offending all the 8th graders out there. And the cost is more than last year since we will be able to give more individual time to each group since we are splitting high school and middle school. All the money goes to cross country so it's going to good use.

You could have also put in that if your going to be in high school next year then the time is 630-8AM! and the cost is $70!!!! those are some important things to put out cause we all aint 7th graders!
