Channahon Invite Results

The Channahon Invite was a great warm up for Sectionals. The competition was tough, and we will see many of the teams again at the Sectional next Saturday. Our girls finished 2nd to Channahon by only 2 points. We will get the chance to see them again at Sectionals. Our boys just missed a trophy by finishing 4th to Liberty, who we will also see at Sectionals, by only 5 points.

In the elite girls race Erin Reynolds came away with the victory with a time of 12:16. Gianna Salzbrunn finished 4th in 12:19, Rebecca Jasutis 13th in 12:50, Julia Schultz 16th in 13:00, Maddie Dearborn 22nd in 13:06, Nicole Doles 27th in 13:15, and Julia Megazzini 34th in 13:27.

In the elite boys race Cody Hornyak led the way in 9th place with a time of 11:34. Thor Hester finished 14th in 11:48, Ryan Cyr 18th in 11:52, Alexx Nauman 21st in 11:56, Jake Firrantello 37th in 12:32, Jacob Love 38th in 12:33, and Westley Lavaud 43rd in 12:41.

In the open race a number of runners earned medals for top 15 finishes. Brooke Jensen finished 5th in the girls race with a time of 13:45 and Clarissa Perez finished 6th with a time of 13:57. In the boys race Triston Robb finished 5th with a time of 12:25, Jimmy Kammer 6th in 12:26, Kyle Arbet 9th in 12:50, and Kevin Schleitwiler 12th in 12:57.

If you have questions about the top 7 or alternates talk to one of the coaches. We talked to Sara and Jessica before we made the announcement and they understand our decision.

how is Sydney the third alternate?? Sarah or Jessica should be!! they have worked sooooo hard and trained and they deserve it!! I'm not saying that sydney doesn't, because she does too, It's just that that sarah and jessica have worked hard and its really not fair to them.

I dont get how sydney is our third alternate when she has not ran at practice or anything..thats very unfair to.sara and jessica who have been trying this.whole season cuz i mean we dont even know if sydney is.fast.after her injury or whatever happened
