Tiger Trail Results

We're starting to make a habit of setting PRs now, and this is the time of the season to keep it up. If we keep improving at this pace both of our teams have a good shot at taking home some hardware at State. We had a number of accomplishments at the Tiger Trail Invite including 2nd place finishes by both of our girls teams and 1st place finishes by both of our boys teams. Runners who came away with top 10 finishes included Maddie Dearborn (7th), Nicole Doles (9th), and Julia Megazzini (10th) for the 7th grade girls; Alexx Nauman (3rd) for the 7th grade boys; Erin Reynolds (2nd), Gianna Salzbrunn (3rd), Rebecca Jasutis (7th), and Julia Schultz (10th) for the 8th grade girls; and Cody Hornyak (6th) and Thor Hester (8th) for the 8th grade boys. There were three team records set at the invite as well. Maddie Dearborn beat the 7th grade girls record with a 1.5-mile time of 9:43. Alexx Nauman continues to break 7th grade boys records and had a 1.5-mile time of 8:48. Finally, Erin Reynolds became the first girl in YMS Cross Country history to break 12 minutes (Gianna Salzbrunn did it 10 seconds later to become the 2nd) and set a new 8th grade girls record with a time of 11:49. Great job everyone!

The pictures are online. I'm glad you guys like the pics. Sorry 7th graders but I arrived as you were finishing so I didn't get any of your race. I took more but 8th graders were coming in crazy fast and many turned out blurry. Sounds like I would have had the same problem with 7th graders if I had been there in time. You guys rock! Great job and Tiger Trail and Good Luck at Sandwich on Thurs!

There will be awards for the Open Race on Saturday. I believe it's the top 10, but I'll post information later in the week. The new top 7 will be announced on Monday.

i really liked that meet... ok yah i got a pr but, it wasn't to bad even with the hill... even if u didn't like the course we did great! oh and thanks Ryan's mom for taking pictures for us!!
