Troy Invite Information

This Saturday is the Troy Invite, which will be the most competitive race we attend all year. We can only take our top 10 runners for each race and the team has already been told who will be running Saturday. Anyone who isn't running is free to take the bus to and from the meet to cheer on their teammates. They don't have to inform the coaches that they are attending, but they do have to check out if they are not taking the bus home. The bus on Saturday will be leaving at 7am.

Parents can park for free at Holy Family Parish south of Crossroads Elementary off Route 59. Parents can also park at Home Depot on Route 59, but there will not be a free shuttle like there has been in the past. You can see a map of the area here.

The order of the races is as follows:

9:00am: 5th/6th Grade Girls
9:15am: 5th/6th Grade Boys
9:30am: 7th Grade Girls
9:50am: 7th Grade Boys
10:30am: 8th Grade Girls
11:00am: 8th Grade Boys
11:30am: Awards

Although we have had a lot of close calls a Yorkville runner has never won an award at the Troy Invite. Awards are given to the top 25 runners in each race. In addition, the best team finish was an 8th place finish by the 7th grade girls last year. With the talent on the team this year we expect that both of those records could be broken on Saturday. Even though we can't qualify for the overall meet championship because we don't have 6th graders it should still be a fun race.

I found an extra hoodie so I will give it to Sara or Erin today. Next week's 3:30 practice is correct because the coaches will be in meetings until then.

erin, sara took it because she left hers outside and we thought that whoevers sweatshirt it is took hers by accident (because they are the same size and everything). so at practice today ask sara for it.

Hey why does it say that on Friday next week we have practice starting at 3:30....? Look at the team calendar, it"ll say. Just wondering.... Egood luck at Troy!!! And yea I hope Gianna is okay... and yea Ali you better be screaming 'till your throat bleeds. Lol, jk. :)

hey I left my cross country jacket at the school today by the doors of where we meet and put or stuff. It is an adult small and would be near the doors of the auditormy so please if any one finds it please give it to me!!!!!!!!!!!1 Thank you so much and can't wait 4 Troy this weekend
