Our Sectionals Runners

It was good to see so many runners come out for the parade this morning. We also had a good deal at our Red/White run at Silver Springs. It is one of the toughest courses we run all year so it should really make our last few races seem easy. Personal records are tough to come by at the Silver Springs course, but Cody Hornyak set a PR of 12:37 by winning the 7th grade boys race and Anieka Bosman set a PR of 16:23. Cody's time was also a meet record and meet records were set by all four winners, which included Jake Hoffert's time of 11:47 in the 8th grade boys race, Erin Reynolds' time of 13:47 in the 7th grade girls race, and Olivia Reese's time of 14:09 in the 8th grade girls race. Sydney Beach also had a time of 13:47 as she finished neck and neck with Erin, but Erin had her beat by a step.
Our Sectionals runners will be moving on to Sectionals next Saturday with us and, hopefully, State the following Saturday, but everyone else still has a week of practice and two meets. We have another meet at Minooka on Monday followed by our Conference meet on Thursday. Conference is another opportunity for us to win trophies so hopefully everyone has a great race.
